Coarse Safety Grip has a coarser grade than standard applied to it's surface to allow for more demanding industrial application in areas prone to dirt and heavy dust exposure. Using the same aluminum oxide grit as standard, but not crushed to as fine a grade, results in the surface having larger peaks and valleys that are less likely to be clogged by dirt and dust.
